PixVerse V6 is a low-cost model for drafts and simple clips: from 360p and from 1 second, with fusion of up to 7 images and a negative prompt. At the same resolution Seedance 2.0 costs 3-5 times more, but gives you 4K, audio at no extra charge and references not only from photos but also from clips and audio recordings. When a scene is built from a few photos and 1080p is enough, I pick PixVerse. When a character from a video reference, a voice or 4K matters, Seedance 2.0.
Key differences
- Length. PixVerse V6 makes 1-15 s (a first-to-last frame transition only 5 or 8 s). Seedance 2.0 makes 4-15 s, and with
duration: -1it picks the length itself. - Resolution. PixVerse has 360p, 540p, 720p and 1080p. Seedance 2.0 has 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K.
- Audio. Off by default in PixVerse, and
generate_audio: trueraises the rate by 25-50% depending on resolution. In Seedance 2.0 speech, effects and music are on by default and do not change the price. - Frames and references. Both accept a first and last frame. PixVerse fuses 1-7 images into one scene. Seedance takes up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio tracks, and its variant on Jantaris accepts real-person references (with their consent). At the vendor, PixVerse V6 can also extend its own earlier clip.
- Aspect ratios and prompt. PixVerse has 8 ratios including 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9, but applies them only for text-only and multi-image fusion. Seedance has 7 including 21:9 and
adaptive. Prompt: 5,000 characters in PixVerse (plusnegative_promptandseed), 20,000 in Seedance. - Price for 5 and 10 s. At 720p Seedance 2.0 is about 4.2 times the price of PixVerse without audio and about 3.3 times PixVerse with audio. At 1080p the gap grows to about 5.2 and 4.2 times. The same ratios hold for 5 and 10 s clips; the amounts are in the table above.
When to pick PixVerse V6
- Prompt drafts at 360p or 540p for a fraction of other models' price.
- Short 1-3 s inserts that Seedance cannot make (it starts at 4 s).
- A scene assembled from several photos: product, character and background in one clip.
- Text-only 2:3 portrait or 3:2 landscape.
When to pick Seedance 2.0
- A 4K or 1080p ad shot with audio already in the file.
- A character driven by a clip reference and a voice from a recording.
- A real person's likeness from reference media.
- Model-chosen length (
duration: -1) when you do not know how long the shot should run.
Cost in practice
Both bill per second by resolution. from $0.0405 per second is the PixVerse rate at its default 540p without audio (360p is cheaper still), and Seedance 2.0 starts at 480p (from $0.157 per second is the 720p rate). Seedance at 480p costs about 2.6 times PixVerse at 540p without audio. In Seedance the seconds of reference clips in video_urls are added to the bill, and duration: -1 reserves funds as for 15 s and settles the delivered length. I have not tested these two models on the same task, so I make no claims about image quality. My approach: draft in PixVerse at 540p, then render the final shot in the model that gives the resolution and audio you need. PixVerse V6, even with audio on: about 3.3 times cheaper than Seedance 2.0 at 720p. Seedance makes sense when the reel needs a clip reference, a real person or 1080p with audio included.
Does PixVerse V6 generate audio?
Yes, with generate_audio: true. It is off by default, and switching it on raises the per-second rate. Studio and estimated_cost show the exact amount before you start.
Does PixVerse V6 do 4K?
No, it tops out at 1080p. Of these two, only Seedance 2.0 offers 4K.
