Seedance 2.0 Mini and Seedance 2.0 Fast are two lower-cost variants of Seedance 2.0 with the same inputs, 4-15 s length and 480p or 720p output. Fast costs about 3.1 times more per second, and in return has audio on by default and accepts real-person reference media. For silent clips and drafts I use Mini. If 720p price is what matters, there is a third option: Seedance 2.0 Mini Eco, Mini Eco, which is cheaper than Mini at 720p and also offers 1080p.
Key differences
- Price. Seedance 2.0 Mini costs from $0.0366 per second, Seedance 2.0 Fast from $0.116 per second (both at 720p). At 480p and 720p Fast is about 3.1 times more expensive.
- Length and resolution. Both make 4-15 s at 480p or 720p. Neither accepts
duration: -1. - Audio. Fast generates speech, effects and music by default (
generate_audio: true). Mini returns picture only until you switch audio on. In both models audio does not change the rate. - Frames and references. Both accept a first and last frame plus up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio tracks as references. Seconds of clips in
video_urlsare added to the bill. Fast runs on the variant that accepts real-person references (with their consent); Mini's description does not list that. - Aspect ratios. Both have 7 ratios including 21:9 and
adaptive, defaulting to 16:9. Prompt up to 20,000 characters. - Price for 5 and 10 s. 5 s of Fast at 720p costs about as much as 15 s of Mini at 720p. 10 s in Fast is about 3.1 times the price of 10 s in Mini at either resolution. The amounts are in the table above.
Mini Eco: cheaper 720p
Seedance 2.0 Mini Eco is the economy tier of Mini with the same input fields as Seedance 2.0: 4-15 s, the same references and 7 ratios, but at 720p and 1080p instead of 480p and 720p. The from $0.0451 per second rate is for 720p.
- At 720p Mini Eco is about 1.75 times cheaper than Mini and about 5.5 times cheaper than Fast.
- 720p in Mini Eco costs only about 23% more than 480p in Mini, so drafting straight at 720p makes sense.
- 1080p in Mini Eco comes out about 2.2 times cheaper than 720p in Fast.
- Mini Eco has audio on by default, like Fast. For a silent clip set
generate_audio: false.
I have not tested Mini Eco, so I make no claims about its image quality. Run one test clip and compare it with Mini on the same prompt.
When to pick Seedance 2.0 Mini
- Prompt drafts at 480p, the cheapest option of the three.
- Silent backgrounds and B-roll you score with your own music.
- Large batches of animated product photos.
- Testing references before moving the prompt to the full Seedance 2.0.
When to pick Seedance 2.0 Fast
- A reel with sound generated together with the picture, no extra settings.
- A clip with a real person from reference media.
- A prompt that already works in Fast and you do not want to port.
- When Mini and Mini Eco do not give an acceptable result for your scene.
Cost in practice
All three variants bill per second by resolution. Mini Eco has the cheapest 720p, Mini the cheapest 480p, and Fast is the most expensive at both. Rates for each resolution are in the table above, combinations of audio and length can be priced in the AI cost calculator, and other models are on /pricing.
Seedance 2.0 Fast scored 7.5/10 in my September 27 test: a good camera push-in on the coffee, but the tram came out cream instead of yellow, with music I did not ask for. I have not tested Mini or Mini Eco. Results are in the best AI video generator in 2026, and the gap to the full model in Seedance 2.0 vs Mini and Seedance 2.0 vs Fast.
