ShengShu's Vidu Q3 Pro always includes audio (dialogue and effects) in the price, makes clips from 1 to 16 seconds and offers 5 aspect ratios. Kling 3.0 has 4K, reference images and cheaper silent shots. With audio at 1080p the two cost practically the same per second, so the choice comes down to features, not price.
Key differences
- Audio. Vidu Q3 Pro generates dialogue and effects by default, and the rate is the same with or without audio. Kling 3.0 has audio off by default, and switching it on raises the 720p and 1080p rates.
- Length. Vidu 1-16 s (default 5), Kling 3-15 s (default 6).
- Resolution. Vidu: 540p, 720p, 1080p. Kling: 720p, 1080p, 4K.
- Input. Vidu: text, a start frame, or a first and last frame. Kling: the same plus 2 reference images.

When to pick Kling 3.0
- A 4K shot.
- Silent B-roll at 720p and 1080p, where Kling is clearly cheaper.
- A character or product taken from 2 reference photos.
- English dialogue with lip sync when only some of your shots need sound.
Cost in practice
With audio: at 1080p Kling costs about 1% more than Vidu, so effectively the same, and at 720p Vidu costs about 25% more than Kling with audio. Without audio Kling is clearly cheaper: Vidu costs about 1.8 times as much at 720p and about 1.5 times as much at 1080p, and you cannot subtract the audio from Vidu's rate. The cheapest tier in this pair is Vidu at 540p, about 16% below silent Kling at 720p. 4K is Kling's most expensive tier, but Vidu has no 4K at all. I have not tested Vidu Q3 Pro yet, so I am not comparing image quality or speech. Kling 3.0 Standard scored 6.75/10 in my first video ranking (Polish blog), and in my Kling in Polish test the Pro tier got 10 of 12 words of a hard Polish sentence wrong. Yes, with generate_audio: false, but the price stays the same. If you add sound in the edit anyway, silent Kling is cheaper.
Which one accepts reference images?
Kling 3.0: up to 2 reference images. Vidu Q3 Pro only takes a start frame or a first and last frame pair. The faster Vidu tier with the same parameters is Vidu Q3 Turbo.
